Cllr Mrs Margaret Killin

North Ward

I am a retired teacher, widow, mother and grandmother. I returned to the UK in 1989 after 23 years in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe.

I then took up a residential job as matron at a private school near Malton.

I retired from the post in 2000 and joined the U3A and the Labour Party.

I was elected to Driffield Town Council in May 2002 and have a special interest in young people, the abolition of litter and increasing leisure facilities for everyone.

I enjoy reading, dancing, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, TV and meeting people.
